Holistic nutrition: how can we make better decisions to promote our health and energy
Seeing the energy of your food might seem like an elusive concept, but it can help us make wiser food choices.
What does the food you eat look like? Okay, I realize this inquiry might seem basic. You know what your food looks like. However, I want to share about why you should be aware and how it affects your health, energy, and the environment.
There are a thousand pleasures to be enjoyed in the preparation and consumption of food. The main purpose for eating is to nourish you and maintain your life energy.
When you eat, you exchange energy; you take life force to sustain yourself, which replenishes the ecology of the earth with energy.
Food is made of molecules, no matter whether the food is fresh, organic, aged, cooked, or raw, and the energy created by the molecular movement.
Ideally, whatever you are about to eat is vibrating with vitality, strength and life force, creating a rich and resonant energy field.
The idea of a biofield encircling the human body is probably familiar to many. Since this is true of all living things, your food likewise contains a biofield that is made up of the vitality and vibration contained in each of its cells.
Food can either have a vast life force or none. It can fill with the vibration of health, or over time it can become depleted and perhaps even devoid of any life force.
Some foods keep their life force for much longer than others (for example, nuts can keep their potency long after they have left the tree), while something like salad leaves begins to droop in vitality within a matter of hours.
What I find important is what you eat carries life force (in the form of nutrients and energy). This is an energy exchange; you take some of the life force from the planet’s ecosystem.
This aspect lets us reflect on our perceived ideas about what food is ‘good’ for us. Let’s use the robust and colourful tomato as an example: if I look at ripe tomatoes still attached to the plant, they carry vitality. Once picked, the life force it holds will begin to lessen. If you can make your lunch with a freshly-picked tomato, you are eating food that is uber-packed with energy.
So how do you ensure you engage in this life cycle most consciously? For me, there are a few key places to bring awareness to:
- Local or not: How old is the food you are about to eat?
If it was picked in a foreign country, took two weeks (or more) to ship to your town and has sat in the supermarket for a week, the energetic value of that food is minimal. Or was it grown in your locale, picked two days ago and now in your kitchen? The fresher food will have a very different nutrition and life force level. - The idea of a biofield encircling the human body is probably familiar to many. Since this is true of all living things, your food likewise contains a biofield that is made up of the vitality and vibration contained in each of its cells.
- Has your food been treated with respect by the people who have grown and prepared it? This may seem like an unconventional statement, yet our ancestors were well aware of it. You could taste the difference between two meals served by two different people while you were dining out, even though both were made with the same items that came from the exact locations.
Given the obvious visual difference in the food’s vitality, I know you would. In the first illustration, the food’s energy will be flat, pulsating inward, and hidden by a discordant food field. In the second illustration, the food’s energy will move in resonant waves, generating a tonal food field.
This is crucial because your body will continue to process food molecules in the same way they did before you ate them.
Remember, you are molecular energy too. Your body will experience dissonance if you consume certain foods. Harmony and resonance in the food field will also produce ease and resonance in your body, which translates to health, vigor, and happiness.
